The Right Path

Anti-Narcotics & Community Empowerment
USA Funded, Afghanistan Project

  • Morgan played a pivotal role in a national campaign with Sayara Strategies in Afghanistan, focusing on diverse media needs, especially branding. Morgan concentrated on refining existing strategies and introducing impactful communication methods using visuals, programming, and storytelling.

Teaming up with Creative Director Katheryn Bwye in Los Angeles, they began the campaign by developing and rigorously testing a logo. This emblem gained approval through Afghan citizen focus groups nationwide and the international government programs supporting the campaign.

A key project spearheaded by Morgan was the overhaul and production of a social welfare talk show centered on anti-narcotics advocacy and women's empowerment. However, the standout achievement was reviving a comic book series, notably a two-part series introducing Afghanistan's first female comic book superhero. This revamped series, incorporating the female Afghan superhero narrative, saw an overwhelming distribution of over 1.4 million copies throughout the country.

Local Team Development

The "Right Path" was a national campaign produced by Sayara Strategies in Afghanistan. Leading one of Sayara Strategies' local production teams we helped streamline and elevate existing programs and projects as well as add additional layers of value, even including creating temporary office locations and set designs.

Branding & Communications

Right Path logo was used across multiple national platforms including national tv broadcast, billboards, public events, and print publications.

Comic Book Production

Introduced a new hero, a heroine, a female character born in a rural village, who rises up to be a leader within her family, defeat the villain, and show the village that there is another way to make a living.

TV Broadcast

A national broadcast talk show required improvement. Eliminated the live audience that caused unnecessary challenges, and introduced free text messaging for viewers at home to participate in Q&A segments. Created a budget and format that allowed the team to conduct street interviews and destination coverage with inspiring leaders of the community. This included women operating their own small business, head of Kabul Police Department, and the Head of the Addiction Recovery Hospital - each special segment focused on a different key message.

Building a Functional Set For Comfortable Conversation

Training local team in how to evaluate and improve sets for comfort of guests, elevated quality, and more effective results.
